Little Gremlin
A downloadable application for Windows
NOTE: The orange kobold girl is NOT included in the software, I used my own OC to demonstrate and capture screenshots of the application.
NOTE 2: This software is delivered as-is, I'm doing my best to make it as stable as I can. The way TTS is handled might not always work as well as intended since I rely on a third party to get the audio.
Intro:
I originally started building this application after I spoke with a few streamer friends about how they handled their redeems which showed a little image while having Text-to-Speech play back the text. I found out they either used a paid chatbot with this functionality or jerry-rigged a few application together for capturing both audio and image.
I wanted to have a program that was both free and offer a simple solution to the problem, one that didn't need 2 or 3 applications to run simultaneously.
Description:
This is a cute little bit of software that can connect to your Twitch account, from there it will handle creating and handling your Text-To-Speech redeem.
Pressing the escape key you can open up the settings and set up your information. Choose some voices, set the price and also dictate what pitches the chipmunk and demon versions are spoken at.
Included with the applications is the little YCH character, you can find this in the /StreamingAssets folder of the application. There is also a Photoshop and Clip Studio file if you want to change color or the look. In the future I will be adding a few more versions for you to use.
As this still is a (hobby) project in development I will be adding more features soon. There's plenty of things on my ToDo list including:
- Selecting audio device (for people using a mixer).
- Having a random line read from a text file.
- Improving stability.
- Adding buttons to reset the redeem / reconnect to Twitch.
- Use animated images for your character.
- Words blacklist.
Known issues:
- Saving the redeem re-creates it and puts the "new" tag on it.
- Saving the settings in rapid succession might show an error with the redeem.

I'm getting a Twitch connection error all of a sudden, I've tried redoing my auth_token but it doesn't accept it. :(
I have looked into the issue with the connection error, I was not able to find out what the problem is.
A friend reported the same error which has mysteriously fixed itself today, I think it might have been an issue with the Twitch back-end that prevented it from connecting.

Hi,
When you have turned on the demon or chipmunk voice the people doing the redeem can put "[d]" for demon or "[c]" for chipmunk (without quotes) in front of their text and it will say the text in that voice.
This text should also show in the redeem itself when you look at it on Twitch but maybe could use some clarification in the readme file.

I love this tts redeem, ive bene playing with it for about 10 minutes and its fun. I was wondering if there is a way to have it read the text chat for people who do vr or cant look at the chat when gaming?
Hi, I'm glad you like it. While I might be able to make it read every line of text chat I don't think it's a good idea. The TTS relies on an external service to turn the text into audio and with an active chat this can put a lot of requests out which might lead to the application becoming throttled and increasing the response times.
thats understandable, the other thing i was gonna ask, is there a way to have the character stay on stream so that it does'nt pop in and out and just sits there n talk's? i think diffrent animations could be cool if you have any ideas or plans for that
Letting the character stay on-screen is a pretty nice idea actually, I'll add that to the next update! For different animations I need to think what other animations people might like for it.

Hello!! i reallt love using your program!! got a question, if theres a chance that you add voices on other lenguages in the future? i mostly stream in spanish and would be very nice if it could read spanish (Althoug its really funny hear it try to pronunce spanish words)
