Animated images, reading out follows, subscribers, and bit donations

New features:

• Bugfix: Audio would not set correctly when starting up.
• Bugfix: Little Gremlin would crash when the redeem couldn't be updated.
• Added animated gif support.
• Little Gremlin will now automatically disable the redeem when it closes.
• Little Gremlin can now read out new follows, subscribers, and bit Donations
• Changed the messages on the bottom to disappear after 5 seconds
• Rewritten a large chunk of code to untangle different parts..

IMPORTANT NOTE: You NEED to set your authorization key again if you want to enable the new read-out functions.

(TL;DR): I added .gif import using a 3rd party tool to convert the files. I also added read-outs for followers, subscribers, and bit donations but couldn't test the subscribers or bit donations.

Hey everyone,

It's been a long time since I managed to get any substantial update worked out to Little Gremlin. It took me a while before I found a work-around to the Unity engine not supporting moving .gif animations and have spent a good chunk of time to work it out properly.

Whenever you select a .gif file to import into Little Gremlin it will convert it to a file format that can be read and used by the application, the conversion is done by launching a small utility called FFMPEG. While Little Gremlin converts the image it may look like it's frozen, please give it some time to finish converting.

Another big update is reading out people that follow the channel, donate bits, or subscribe. Sadly I have no option on freely testing the bit donations and subscriptions, so I have to rely on the framework I already built to handle these things. If something crashes or gives problems please reach out to let me know and I will try to fix it.

Future plans:

• Anti-abuse features:
  • Adding a method to instantly silence Little Gremlin in case of emergency for:
    • Current line it's saying
    • All lines that have been redeemed
  • Adding a method to set Little Gremlin in "Emergency" mode, stopping it from talking and disabling the redeem.
    • In-app button
    • Chat command (accessible by mods as well)
  • Adding a blacklist of words / phrases to block
    • Read a list from a text file
    • Read the list from your channels Blocked Terms list
• Separate the chipmunk / demon voice modifications into their own redeems
• Adding the possibility to have it read a line from a text file
